Folegandros

Folegandros is a small, charming island between Milos and Santorini in the Southern Cyclades. Its surface is 32 sq. km. and has a population 650 inhabitants. The cliffs give the landscape a magical complexion. An ideal place for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

There are nice trails where you can walk and two large villages. Hora and Ano Meria. Ηora with its narrow, cobbled streets, is one of the most beautiful villages in the Cyclades.

Ano Meria, picturesque and sparsely populated, located just 6 kilometers from Hora, has spectacular views of the Aegean Sea. Karavostassis, the port of Folegandros, is a village which is active mainly in the summer. There are many small beaches with pebbles and sand, which can be reached by car, by local bus, on foot or by small boats daily from the port.

All is very clean with crystal clear cool waters. The best sandy beach on the island is Katergo, where you can approach with our boat from the harbor. Very nice beach, also with sand, is Angali beach. From there you can reach by boat the beaches of Agios Nikolaos and Livadaki. From the church of St. Andrea in Ano Meria starts a trail that leads to the beach of Agios Georgios. You can also go by car.

To take money, there are two ATMs, one of Hellenic Postbank and one of Alpha Bank, both located in Hora. You can also cashed postal money orders in the post mail office. There are daily ferry connections with Piraeus as well as Santorini, Naxos, Milos and Sikino. There are also frequent ferries to Paros, Syros and Ios.
